Battery charging
« on: November 07, 2014, 04:09:24 pm »
Currently taking battery out every other night when it goes flat to charge (leisure battery) is this ok for the health of a battery or would a split charge relay be better, I'm not worried about having to charge the thing just which is better for the battery are leisure ok to run flat

I personally couldn't be bothered to take battery in every night or every other night hense why I had a split relay fitted with leisure battery. I do loads if mileage so my van battery charges the leisure battery at full capacity.

Depends on the battery.
If it's a leisure battery it may well be better to take it out.
If it's a car type battery, a trickle charge will be better

It's just the internet. Try not to worry.
