Cleaning tar off window frames  and glass what would you recommend , I have got to price a job tomorrow thinking of using citric acid which i have used for cleaning tar spots off  paintwork on a car i used to have . Mike

Try a solvent upvc cleaner, stinks but powerful stuff.

ive used autoglym tar and glue remover in past but now just use the usual tfr,ubik,magic sponge etc

Will see how bad it is going to be guy phoned me today apparently it is on 12 panes of glass so god knows how on earth they have managed that on one house as well . Mike

AND their was no tar on windows at all anywhere , Phoned contractors and told them so but they were still happy to pay to have the windows cleaned .

Clearly the owner of the house had phoned up and played war stating that the windows were appalling which they were as they had not been cleaned for about 5-6 months . Mike
