You would be over weight i put a 650 tank in a dobro because I found the uprig fits nicer however I only ever put about 300 litres in it and it only works about one day a week

Go on to a weighbrige with it to see how much weight you have to play with. You will find the gvw on the v5 document. Combo's of thet age came as either 1700 or 2000 (which is the gvw in kgs), i think the max payload is around 800kg on the 2000. I dont think you could get away with a 500l tank though, even on the 2000.

My 787kg payload combo came in at 100kg less than it's 2kg GVW.

SO I could have just about fitted a 450
Tank.

My combo was well kitted out. But nothing major. Just like ladders. Cones. Batteries. Ladders. Me. Roof rack. Etc etc.

350
Tank was bad enough.

My advice would be 350 and 4 barrels when and if.

Yeah I remember you saying you carry bare minimum.

My fully kitted out combo. Same spec
As yours was 100kg away from limit with your 350
Tank and cage full. So 500 is doable. Would I want to. No way !

Iv got the exact same van and have got a 400 in that, definatly wouldnt want  a 500 in it, also space might be a problem as the 400dosent fit against the bulkhead so a 500 would have to go sideways

I have a custom tank fitted not a wydale, its not filled to the top everyday and with it being spread over the whole load area and being properly baffled the van drives fine and you hardly feel any water movement

Good point. Yeah, I carry 2 barrels, just incase.
We look at them, they look through them.
