What do you find to be the best way to get your name out there other than door knocking? I've found that leaflet dropping doesn't work, facebook page has generated a few custys and so has yell, not too sure about google, can't get my name higher on the list.

Advertising on all fronts, but door knocking is the best, leaflets work and it remind people your out there but it may not be an instant hit, and you may need to leaflet the area again the following month, then run ads in the local village mags,, local free papers, put posters up in local shops and finally have sign written van people see all these and slowly it will click, as they leave the local shop they see your poster, as they walk down the street your van goes past, they open the front door to be greeted by a flyer then as they make a cup of tea and flick through the local paper your ad is there again!

Finally somewhere it will sink in! That or they will hate the sight of you 😜😜

Google, facebook etc, are a bit different as the potential customer needs to look for you, traditional advertising is going to them.

Never argue with an idiot, they will only bring you down to their level, and beat you with experience

totally agree with the above, ive never knocked a door as im not that sort of person and ive been lucky enough that ive had time and other incomes from being a mechanic and property maintainance on the side while i build up my round up and all ive ever done is do the usual online stuff and posted a few thousand flyers, was quite disapointed at first but then the calls came in over time in fact ive had calls recently from people that i posted last year and had nothing but they'd saved the flyer and contacted me as theyre window cleaner disapeared or just did a bad job.
once youve got a decent round the word of mouth kicks in too if you do a good job and im getting calls every week of people who know people who passed my no on!!!
