Cleaned your windows!
« on: August 14, 2014, 08:05:06 am »
Hi all, my first week is about to begin! Just wondering if anyone could advise me on the wording you use on the 'I've cleaned your windows today' slip of paper? With the options of direct debit, gocardless, BACS, calling round to collect, leave money out etc....don't want it to turn in to an essay! Cheers for any help.

hi mark

good luck with next week it can be pretty daunting and exciting starting out. I print my own slips with all the payment details on it. I print 2 slips on to an a4 paper and then just cut them in half, you could get more on i suppose but i like mine to be fairly big and bold so the customer doesn't miss it with all the other mail they get and i can fit all my payment options on it. if you give me your e-mail i can send one over to give you some ideas of layout and wording if that helps.

i bought 5000 "windows cleaned today" chits from vistaprint with list of add on services, phone number and a few spaces to write a little note if needed, date etc.these are mainly used for estate work that i collect from.

if they want to pay by BACS i simply give them a separate slip with bank details on.they only need these once.for larger higher priced accounts i provide an invoice as i think it looks more professional and again i provide a separate slip if they want to pay by BACS or SAE if they d rather post a cheque. ;)
price higher/work harder!
