Bad Resin?
« on: August 10, 2014, 02:15:45 pm »
Hi Guys
Have any of you ever had a bad bag of resin? last  Week I brought a 25l Bag of Tulson resin  from the cleaning warehouse just around the corner from me in Walsall, I emptied and cleaned out my di vessel as usual filled it back up with resin  and connected it to my tank in the van (I run my water just through a di vessel) and the water was coming out at 000 so nothing unusual there! however the next day it was running out at 010? I tested my tap water and it was the same as always, usually I stays 000 for about 6 weeks and then starts to rise to about 005-008 then I change the resin! I contacted the shop but they just said they have never heard this before and will tell the supplier, that's not much use to me1 but I guess they don't know wether im pulling a fast one! resin is to expensive to just go out and get another bag!! so whats the best resin to get and where from.
Thanks for reading guys.

I've noticed for a while now that resin isn't lasting as long wherever I buy it from...

Some resin that I get seems more like sand instead of resin in its consistency - Has anyone else noticed this?

I have a suspicion that we are all being sold regenerated resin... Whether the suppliers are aware I don't know - Maybe the problem is with the wholesalers?

Think about it... Over the last few years resin sales must have gone through the roof because of us WFP window cleaners... I think someone has got greedy and wants us to buy it quicker.

Same here! I've been buying from the cleaning warehouse as well and it hasn't been lasting very long at all.

Sell it back to the suppliers - they will then regenerate it like they seem to be doing and then sell it back to us at full price  ;)
