« on: June 05, 2014, 11:36:14 am »
Hi I'm new to the site, just wonder if the s-max 45ft poles any good as they are abit cheaper than the extreme and slightly heavier which I want as I don't like the poles to light
Thanks guys

if your using it for solar panels or velux at full stretch itll have a real bend in the pole which makes it difficult to clean these types of windows properly.an extreme would be much better at angles.ok if your using it for straight up windows though.
price higher/work harder!

what about the slx 47 as im looking for  a light pole for this height to replace my ancient one which weighs as much as a small car

the slx 47 is miles cheaper than the other 2

It will be it's not such high quality carbon. Still a good pole though.

I have a mark 1 supermax 40, which I believed to be the same as an slx, only longer.
Looking at the website I think Dave is right in what he is saying that the supermax 2 is made of a higher grade of carbon fiber. true the mark 1's are quite bendy at reach over connies roofs or velux/solar panels, but I presume the supermax 2's are a bit lighter and stiffer compared to their predecessor.
