Aworka ... what benefits over george ?
« on: May 27, 2014, 03:54:59 pm »
Been on George from day1 and it does everything I need ... looking at screenshots on aworka and noticed at bottom of each day gives you the days income next to total time allocated to do jobs ... I like this feature but prob not going to swap just for that so question is has anyone gone from George to aworka and found it better or worse ?

yes me,
...............then went back, for me it was a simple decision of £120.00 a year, aworka or £12.00 internet back up george, i think for the sole trader there was no obvious gains, except the mobile app but i found that more time consuming then just using a print off from george.
People talk about saving time with it, maybe for a company with 5 vans etc but for the sole trader no, imo

Aworka can be had for £100 a year. Main difference is the ability to run it on a tablet and phone. George can only run on old palms. Just means you can access your data base whilst out. Cleanerplanner is very similar but pointless for the majority cos it costs even more. George is brilliant but last years technology.

I might also add that both Aworka and Cleaner Planner are selling unfinished products which either means we are getting them cheap and they will go up in the future or they are overcharging somewhat for what they have produced so far. I would guess the latter.

Hi Guys

A minor point, but George shows your past daily income on the Main Menu screen and your future daily income at the bottom of the Diary View screen.

I must say iv used George from day one but Im getting increasingly concerned about pocket george only working on a palm as these are almost obsolete.

Hi

No, they ARE obsolete - but you can still get them on eBay etc.

One of these days I'll have enough time to port it over to Android.

Would love to see an app for George soon on android that will allow you to Sync with the PC when home like the palm system.   My Palm is starting to struggle a bit.

I would even be prepared to pay a small one of fee for the app like I did when I bought George on the PC to make it worth Paul's time -  rather than paying a monthly fee as you do with others.   (what do others think?)

George is fab, easy to use, and a great way to get info quickly, easy to fix, and I leaves me to rest knowing my data is safe and well organised.

Not seen any updates for a while though.  Any new development plans in the mist?

Hi Guys

I've been offline for a while due to a personal tragedy but I'm beginning to get over that.

There's a new version coming soon.

If you want a mobile version quickly, have a look at the thread "Can I transfer george onto a tablet ?"

Hi

Thank you. When you've been married to someone for 30 years it leaves a big hole in your life.
