Static RO Questions
« on: March 24, 2014, 05:47:10 pm »
How do you get the water in the static tank to be pure 000 ?

I am using as a temporary measure a 450GPD New ro.

What would you do with the 1/4 pure water feed pipe?

Would you connect it to a di vessel?

Would it push through the resin still?

I am guessing most people produce pure water into a tank at say anywhere between 0 - 20ppm then pump onto van, then have the DI's on the van?

I dont want/have a DI on this current van, so how do people create 000 pure in a static holding tank?

I am guessing with a 40/40 the flow rate is not an issue?

Mine is a non pumped 450GPD Ro which produces a nice steady fast stream but with no pressure. So dont know if it would push through a DI vessel.

Hope the above makes sense :)

I would use a connector on the end of the pure water pipe 1/4" to hose lock connector.
And then connect to a DI vessel.

Thats what i have ordered from Gardiners.

Would it push through a vessel then?

Should i use a smaller DI vessel, as the smallest vessel we have are 100L  :o :o

I have yet to check it, but it well above average.

Having checked countless taps over the year, nothing compares to ours lol.

(i know that doesnt help  ::)roll)

Yes should go through the vessel no problem, although the flow might be slightly slower.

You can order a john guest fitting from Daqua for 1/4 inch hose that fits into the d.i inlet so then the water in your static is 000. Doesnt matter what you have on the outlet...

Last time i saw it wasnt on there interweb page, so just give Doug a ring (he takes orders over the phone  :P)

Happy days  :)

It'll push through your bigger vessels no problem, it'll take a while for the vessel to fill (obviously at 100L!!!) but once its full of water your flow will be as normal
