The one I used to have was producing at single figures from a higher TDS.
Great little machines if they produce enough for your needs

Its just a temporary measure really.

Just as a matter of interest the 100,200,300,450 GPD RO machines. Do they all use the same pre filters? Is it on the membrane on the top that is different ie more?

Can you change that membrane on the top?

As far as I know, yeah, same filters.
I've only seen 150/300/450GPD systems.
150 has 1 little RO
300 has 2 little RO's
450 has 3 little RO's
I'm sure it's not as simple as that but it's what I've observed.
The filters are on ebay for about £20, all 3 of them.
The RO's (last time I checked, from memory) were about £30 each.
Like I say, great bit of kit, especially for the pennies.

I've got a 450gpd unit now.

It was a 200, but I added a housing and upgraded the membranes to 150gpd ones (with a bit of help from Doug at Daqua). I'm pretty sue all the pre filters are the same...

My tds from tap is around the same as yours (340ppm) and the RO (pumped)  gets it down to 14, which I'm more than happy with.

If yours has a restrictor in the waste line, I would suggest you replace that with one suitable for 150 GPD membranes.

me too  ;D

However, I found the 150 membranes don't seem to last as well as the 100gpd ones. Something to do with them having to be wound tighter to fit the same housings.

Last 450 I had, I used it for 18 months doing 10,000l of pure a month and never changed the membranes!
I loved that system.
