Your own private email address
« on: March 26, 2006, 10:12:21 pm »

Hope I'm not advertising with this but any of you guys that would like their
own email address with your company name my brother in law offers this
  service. For example joe_bloggs@clearveiw.co.uk.

This is how I started off first then progressed onto my own website once
I had enough money. You recieve your emails through Outlook Express.
Have found this a huge benefit when sending mails to companys instead
of using for example hotmail.com. which looks unprofessional.

Just mention Doug and you may get it cheaper, by the way he doesn't know I've
mention him on here  but I have  found it very useful. It's end of the tax year so
something you can put through your accounts if you can afford it.

  Here's the link :-
http://www.webfactoryoutlet.co.uk/index.php?page=products

If you can find anyone cheaper I would recommend it, one last thing I didn't
tell you but he offers this service for £40 on his front door  ;)

Why not just buy your own .co.uk domain name for about £6 for 2 years and then setup email forwarding?

SNA,

I agree, and in fact have just this minute done this.

It cost me about £9.00 and I bought it from 123Reg.

I've also just purchased Web Hosting (ARHosting) for £10 per year (Google for 'findmeahost' to read about web hosting services).

I've purchased 'web creator' software for a tenner,

So in total, my web site should cost no more than £30.00, and that gives me five personalised e-mail addresses

  Hi SCS

Yes this is one option but been down that route in the past and wasted
£100 for nothing, this price included web space, used UK2.NET. The one
big problem is the service provider and some are up and down all the time.

Hence I invested into someone who had their own dedicated server with
backup, nothing more annoying in your server provider being down and
your customers cannot access your website.

Just my opion why I went this route, but yes there are cheaper options open.
