Hi guys I have been doing the odd pressure washing job and get increasingly asked about pressure washing walls on houses, anyone else do this and if so do you use one of the various extendible lances?
Any advice on what one to buy or if they're worth it would be great

They're not a good buy - VERY heavy, VERY bendy and VERY hard on your back!

I'd recommend looking into an x-jet chemical injector and try cleaning walls with softwashing like is popular in America - its much quicker & easier and does a great job.

Thanks for the reply mate, been reading reviews and I have come to the same conclusion.
I must research soft washing a bit more, or just build the window cleaning customers!

i did a cream painted rendered house the other week that was green and the pressure washer wouldn't shift it on this clean,i was wondering if there was any other way i could do it,any help appreciated

i use the telescopic lance for some jobs but it is a ball ache

I have done a few of these washes with a red Gardener brush. Just green  patches on rendering then scrubbed and rinsed with pure water. I come out well and my customers were happy. But it was more work than I or my customers thought.

Long telescopic are OK for short spells. There is a knack but essential on commecial jobs and three storey domestics.

I have to admit though, I really really hate having to use it.

I thought there was only really one version out there, unless you go down the DIY path.

Generally the green moss/algae can be removed without pressure using sodium hypochlorite. Using that at height brings its own PPE problems (and maybe others), but that the way to go.

If your going to soft wash it use algo clear that would bring it up nicely
