Best way to clean tank?

My new tank has a small patch of green inside but it's on the far side of tank and it's baffled, wouldn't get a pressure washer in there to blast it so what's the best way of cleaning it and will it matter if it's going through the di anyway?

I have been using my current tank for well over 3.5 years, never cleaned it, no green patches though!
Are you supposed to?

Just the right ratio to amount of water put in which if you tip tank up should not be to much , Milton is normally used for sterilising baby bottles etc it is a very very mild form of bleach i believe smells like bleach anyway. Mike

I have a 650ltr upright tank which I rarely fill so there are a few green patches
along the top of the baffles.
Never cause any problems so don't worry to much about them.

I used a couple of bottles of thin bleach and left to soak a while, then turned tank till all sides got a good soak then gave a good rinse.
Read somewere that any green or black stuff in tank can affect water and windows,
BUT does not show on tds meter so could be 000 but water is contaminated.

I would agree with the algae messing with windows, my 1000l tank went green this summer and I used it for a week before two customers said something. I had to wash it out. Although I didnt use anything I found out later that you should just fill up with water and chuck some bleach in.. and rinse WELLLLLL.

Always best to keep clean and give a good rinse whenever you get chance...
I have used beer line cleaner before... Works a treat....
But plenty of rinsing.. I also run it through my whole system as well including transfer pump and hoses...
Cheers
