Submersible pump
« on: February 03, 2014, 06:44:33 pm »
Hi

Any one had a a similar problem ?

Every time I switch on my submersible pump on the static system it fails to work and trips the electric in our house !

The pump is 14 months old , so I have replaced it today and found the same thing is happening with the new pump ? It would be a huge coincidence but it makes me wonder whether  the second pump faulty ?

Any other ideas as to what the proble may be ??

Regards
Mark

I agree, start looking from where you plug the pump in and work from that point back to the trip switch .

Thanks

I have tried different sockets and even bought a new extension lead to bypass current sockets but all of them work fine with my battery charger but trip the electrics with both pumps !

Can you try the pump on another property?
All I can think of is overload of the ring of sockets

Yes that's  worth a try , thanks

I am off to an evening clean so I  see what happens there .

Having said that I have run a pump here for over a year , but I will try that and if nothing I guess i will have to get another pump and hope.

Thanks
