I pretty sure it does not matter. Mine wasn't marked, so I just plumbed it in and it worked, they don't have a riser tube like the di vessels, so the water can go in either end.

Apparently the housing can be used as an RO (that's why there are 2 ports on one end, 1  for water 1 for waste)

I found this video

I will just set it up the same as that.

Cheers Lee.

Anyone use these?

If so do you know which side is water in and which is water out?

The inlet on these housings should be the removable end. I'm just composing a reply to your email.

I didn't find then very good really. There is a membrane that the resin seems to work is way through so the resin needs to keep being topped up, and unless they are packed really tightly the the water will make pathways then all the resin isn't getting used.

I found it a lot of hassle and went back to my 11l vessel. I might just be an isolated case with me, others may get on find with them.

We use them. Same issue as Lee - we have found that a 'shoogle' twice a day does the job though.

They do have advantages over the bottles in that they can be laid flat (although I think vertical would work better).

Product Overview
21" 4 Litre Single-Use DI Cartridge

Fits the above 21" EZ-Pure Housing and all Champ 21" housings.

Simply fill up with your favourite resin, tape the lid on (with electrical tape) and start using.

Please note that these units work most efficiently when used in a vertical position.

As far as I am aware both myself and Lee have the older version of the filters, the newer ones may be different.

These units do work best when used vertically. They can work horizontally, but we have found they do tend to channel the resin if used this way all of the time.

Yes still using the ez pure pre filter, I've just changed it after a year. I managed to get the housing cheap when they were on sale, other wise it's quite expensive. I've never used the fibredyne filter, but I would have gone for those if I had to pay full price for the ez pure housing.

maybe i will wait for an offer then  :)

not changing it for a year sounds good to me though and it has the capacity by reading the specs.

did you notice any reduction in pressure to your ro when using it?

Cheers for your help Lee .

if i understand correctly the same housing can be used as di,pre filter or ro.

I'm thinking of buying one with insert for di to see how i get on with it , if i don't get on with it as a di i can then take the insert out and buy the pre filter to go in the same housing .
