plasplugs tile sealer
« on: November 08, 2013, 04:35:26 pm »
Anyone familiar with this product - plasplugs tile sealer? customer says its probably on the quarry tiles in her kitchen she has just bought the house and plasplugs tile cleaner and plasplugs tile sealer bottles are in the cellar. Looking at the pics does not help just wondered if this sealer was a water based or solvent or other. I am guessing its topical to give the tile a sheen.

They used to do a couple of different ones!  Do you know which one it is?  I thought it was no longer sold but there again I don't go in B & Q and I was never a fan of Tommy Walsh anyway.  If it's owt like the tools they used to sell it should fly off with hot water ;D ;D ;D

Not sure which I asked the customer if it had the flammable symbol on the back of the tin/bottle could not find much reference to it on the internet. I'll ask her to take a pic of it

Thanks

This is going to shock you...I actually agree with Kevin :o
Their tools lasted 5 minutes at best, so if that is anything to go by, I doubt if you will need Hot water...cold will do ;D

Classic job lead - she says interested in a minimal job as I am going to pull the kitchen out in 12 months time but the tiles look dirty could you do something with them? - so I'm thinking this is bo****ks but you have to stay positive. So I asked her for a pic in light of the fact of the above - not doing a site visit the floor is small 2m x 3m its also a 3 hour round trip. Got pic and said it would be £250.00 and that I'd clean grout etc as its not possible to clean the tile without effecting the grout. She says its too much as the tiles are clean they just look dirty????? and she is not bothered about the grout as she can live with that for 6-9months and she can have a new floor for £500.00.

Translated into English she said ''Can you come and half clean my floor for nothing?'' - customers bless em!

There are other jobs that pay properly, tell her to scrub them up herself!
