Left water in tank to long
« on: November 03, 2013, 09:21:42 am »
Hi Guys

As for the above my van went in garage for a week and a half to get work carried out to it and i left water in my tank and in storage tank
and it has gone off there is also a white skin over the water and the water in the storage tank was reading 170 ish i have flushed the tanks out but still getting reading of 80 ish in storage and 40 ish coming out of my van does any one know what i can do to clean the tanks out with and do you think my filters are buggered because of this.
Also i have been looking at these tablets for the cleaning of the both tanks.

Help would be great thanks in advance.

The mobile tank is easy enough, I get similar problems on my pick up - just drain out the water, half fill it with tap water and add about a half gallon of bleach then go for a drive. Drain, flush and repeat - then flush and all should be well.
