Hot water system what hose reel do you use?
« on: October 25, 2013, 09:06:31 pm »
Hi guys just brought a corwoods water heater, really happy with that but my pure freedom hose reel centre spindle keeps breaking the thread and leaking where the plastic threaded connector that connects to the hose goes into it. It's fine up until about 45c (which isn't that hot as only comes out the other end of the hose at mid 20c) and it just looses the thread and starts leaking. I changed the spindle and then new connectors going into it but to no avail so if sealing it doesn't work il have to buy a new hose reel, what hose reel are people using to get hot water out of there hose reel?
                      Thanks in advance.

Hi tom I've ordered the hi viz reel from corwoods with my heater.about 200quid but all stainless steel fittings and look really robust.2 yr warranty.

I'll keep my gardiners premium metal reel as a spare but apparently they are not up to the job used with hot water!
price higher/work harder!

Small but perfectley formed

I use Gradiners 6mm orange THERMOBORE , £65 , superb for me and hasn't let me down .
100 meters and with it being 6mm it works well for the heaters , due to pressure loss/frictional loss of 8mm to 6mm to your pole hose.
Much better being 6mm to 6mm.

Top buy the orange stuff
