Ro Production Advice Please
« on: October 20, 2013, 09:08:34 am »
Hi,can anyone help please. Bought a 450gpd Ro in 2010 from Window cleaning Warehouse, home water supply was 165 tds and pressure 60psi. Product went into 1000 litre ibc tank at 6tds then onto Van through Di  pure at Brush head.Never monitored the amount of water produced per day, just flushed system each week, changed pre- filters 3 monthly and turned off when ibc was full.
Bought a second van so stepped up need for water 700 to 800 litres per day. Ro is producing 200 mls per minute 12litres per hour 288 litres per day at 14 tds,The window cleaning Warehouse have said it should be 23 to 28 litres per hour 500 to 700 litres per day so mine is half that.
Will I get that figure of 500 to 700 litres per day if I changed membranes, pre- filters and added pump booster at a cost of £300 or am I more likely to get that sort production if I buy Gardiners Ez pure Hf5 at a cost of £546 that I've looked at, which is the best investment.

 Many thanks  in advance ,Rob

To upgrade for £300 i would invest in a 40/40 style setup. Who knows what the future is. You may have another van on the road in 6 months. Never say never.

Also with these 40/40's you can produce it faster. Once we had a water outage overnight on our production weekend, so it really caused issues for monday.

Managed to get my van filled quickly ish in the morning. If we had an Ro urmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm lol

Lots of companies do them. I would only go on customer service for recommending. So there may be better products out in the cleaning market.

Colins pure water or Gardiner for me.

Other people will have different views etc :)

Scroll down the page to 4040 membrane (you'd need to buy the housing aswell)
