« on: September 23, 2013, 10:36:58 am »
Hi All

Ive got the L5 Heater & Ive been using a 6kilo propane cylinder, just wondering what other people use is there any regs I should be considering.
Got local company offering a good deal to swap to 11k bottles.

Thanks in advance

Any idea how much it costs on gas for an average 3 bed house? Is diesel cheaper?
Cheers,

11kg or 13kg propane (i use the green patio gas bottles as they have a gauge on the side so you can sse how much gas you have left)

Can you use the green one in the freezing cold like you can the propane as I know the blue butane freezes up don't it ?

19KG were costing me £23 per refill in February this year, one bottle was lasting between 5 and 6 weeks.

Butane does not burn as hot as propane, therefore you will be using more butane than propane for the same heat.

Also the L5 heater is classed as a propane fuelled water heater not butane.

Hi All

Thanks for, just concerned on size for vehicle regs.

Have settled for a 10kilo size, much bigger than the 6 but compressed into a smaller bottle.

Not necessarily, my local supplier charges £24.50 for 13kg and £25.00 for 19kg. Dearer I know but only fractionally and much better value at 19kg.

The green patio gas is propane, just diffrent easy to use twist valve and gage,
