John Guest 1/2 x 1/2 x 1/4
« on: September 09, 2013, 05:54:09 pm »
Any one know where I can get one of these?

It's a Mur-Lock John Guest 1/2 x 1/2 x 1/4 reducing T part number V0820426. It is for plugging in an in line TDS meter to my EZ-pure RO?

All I can find is from the states. Dont fancy paying £30.07 postage  :o

Think out of the box take half inch t and pop a smaller pu tube into the half inch then a quarter inch into that using Serius glue to bond it .l I have done this many times ( Serius Glue is a brand name of a glue its like a contact but it water proof and come in a silver tube which is sold by most hard ware shops) I have done this on my R O inlet pipe before  and after the booster pump, 4 years still holding.Look for the pu hose on e bay they have many sizes. If they won`t fit in use a flame heat  the pu hose for a short time it will shrink over the tube.Hope this all makes sense.

o effect on the flow as the reducer is for the TdS METRE.yOU WILL NEED TWO OF EACH TO BRING THE TDS WATER BACK IN THE MAIN FLOW TUBE.

I spoke with Fiona at Gardiners. She offered the same solution but advised it may effect output ratio.

Test the litre flow before the change and test after it will be the same. I am sure. Think of your pole hose it goes from 8,, to a 4 m jet hose and my pole is still 7 litres a min as the pump.

It has to do with the waste valve. It has a hole in it calibrated to give you around 70 30 waste ratio. If you change the diameter of the output you change the ratio.
