Brodex - credit where it's due

I had first hand experience of Brodex customer service a few weeks ago.  I won't go into details - just say that it fell short of what I would expect of a professional supplier.

I sent an email outlining my complaint, and received one back by return from John Beattie, senior account manager with a full apology and a promise of two free poles of my choice as recompense.  The poles arrived a few days later.

It pays to complain - politely but forcefully and hopefully will spur them on to improve their service and ultimately their image.

After an apology from them I had a very similar promise, but it never materialised..

I will never buy anything from them, and to be honest why would you as there are miles better suppliers out there!

I think their poles are crap but their systems are awesome,far more superior tanks than the crappy Wydale ones that come as standard on a lot of systems and they leak like mad from the lid,their systems look really professional like Ionics and the Grippa systems unlike a lot of suppliers out there!

Id ask them for gardiners pole as they are far  better
Takings off all first cleans till march 7th 2014
October  total=  cleaned  extra per month
November = cleaned extra per month
Total £  so far.

How offensive. Being giving one of their poles is tantamount to a slap on the face innit?!

How offensive. Being giving one of their poles is tantamount to a slap on the face innit?!

They will take a lot of misuse - my lads get them as part of their initial kit, if they want to upgrade later that's up to them but for everyday domestic work they stand up to a lot of chucking about and dropping.

I'm holding the two they sent me as spares for when one or other of the lads manage to damage theirs and need to borrow one for a day or two till their replacements arrive.
