slipping pole sections
« on: August 16, 2013, 03:53:16 pm »
maybe someone else has previousely posted this but im not sure.
i have a clx-22 old type clips, the top and second sections both slip and drives me mad.

to repair i have removed srew from clip and fitted a small washer over threaded stem, then re fitted screw, this has solved the problem,no more slipping.,two washers were required for second section.
basically what the washer does is lengthen the threaded screw giving you more thread to tighten clip.
hope this of help to others

Put one of these springs between the nut and the pole fitting.

If it puts your mind at ease we have probably sold about 1000 of these clamp upgrade kits and only a handful have let me know of any gluing issues.

Dont be. I fitted one clamp screwif and did not notice until I tried to reassemble. It had been done in the sun and left to dry for 30 minutes. Solid, it would not budge and I had to saw the pole down and get Gardiners to post me out a new clamp body.
Follow the youtube link that is sent out and you will have no problems, unless like me you don't push the clamp on squarely
