Rubber Runs On Cladding
« on: July 04, 2013, 09:52:25 am »
Got rubber marks on some cladding, that won't shift with hot WFP and detergent or caustic, or pressure washing.

Its from the rubber seal between the panels where its leeched out over time.

The only thing with any level of success is rubbing with a cloth and some compound, this would take months to complete so is out of the question.

Anyone come up against this and won before?

We did a full Sainsbury's cladding clean, in Sheffield last September.

White cladding that was hiding behind grey cladding, by hand, 38 man days.

G101, a bucket of water, some small foam scourers and a lot of elbow grease

Good luck

My approach would be.

Here's a job that is difficult, it needs doing, what can I do to make the cladding right.

Find the cure to the problem, work professionally, in all areas & communication, fix the problem and impress a client ;)

Don't give up on the job, that is easy and how the competition works, set yourself apart by how you correct the problem!
