Customer complaint after 8 weeks ...
« on: June 10, 2013, 08:17:02 pm »
So ... doing a pair of large 30's semi's side by side - I do one and DtM does t'other. DtM is getting some stick. I earwig from next door.

Mrs W. "... it's all the backs they're spotty. I didn't notice 'til the sun came out."

DtM. "OK, I'll have a look."

Anyway DtM comes to find me and tells me that Mrs W. says the back windows are spotty but that she couldn't see it 'til the sun came out and that's why she never called us back. She's happy that DtM will give them a good scrub this time.

So I'm working next door at the back and she sticks her head out her upstairs window and tells me the same story "not that I'm being a moaner or anything ..."

So I politely ask her when she first noticed it and she says about 3 weeks ago and I say but we cleaned them 8 weeks ago, I'm not surprised that they were a bit dirty by then.

But it's only the backs she says and I say that's because the prevailing wind hits the glass from that direction and so they will generally get dirty first and I can call every four weeks if she prefers.

No thanks she says but he (DtM) has "double scrubbed" them this time so that's fine.

So I say check them out and call me after tea if they've not dried perfectly and we'll call back to put it right. Don't wait otherwise it might just be the weather since we last cleaned them or some building work nearby.

"Well my neighbour over the back was having some building work done about 3 weeks ago, perhaps that will be it?"

"Probably ..." I say smiling sweetly with clenched teeth ...

Gotta love 'em. I had a woman recently spend 5 minutes telling me that her sight was failing and how she was nearly blind  now. Then she tells me that a window didn't look as though it had been done.  ;D
