Careful about VAT. For a non qualifying van 'empty' in immaculate condition, a dealer might try to retail it between £6995 and £7495 and would have traded it in for around £5500 depending on the market. He may have to use some of that 'profit' to sweeten a tradein deal against it.

The Ionic system isn't worth that much to be honest as you would need to consider replacing all filters, resin and membranes into the calculation. Pumps and heater will also be expensive to service/repair/replace, if not now, but into the short term future.

A finance house will be interested in financing the van but not the contents.

So if I had cash I wouldn't pay more than k6 for it from a business proposition as a window cleaner, as a 5 year Ionic's system is't worth much. A dealer would try a trade price of less than k5 as a unit as he would realise that selling a specialised van with the contents would severly limit his customer base. In fact I bet he would remove the system and try to sell it on Ebay seperately.

Watch out that the system isn't under a lease agreement from Ionics.

The older I get, the better I was ;)
