often see a van around liverpool called CLEAN AND CLEARLY THE BEST  i dont think they go on ciu but they have two hose reels on the actual back of the van doors , it looks like a very futuristic way of doin things , i just wondered if anyone has done it before or knows how easy [ and safe ] it would be to do , i hate pulling up at jobs and unloading my reel , these lads just grab the hose end and start walking to the house COOL

I think he does come on here under the username CLEANCLEAR of something like that.
I saw some pictures a while ago now fixed to a van's rear doors just as you describe, I think it probably is the same company.

I'd be worried that they'd get damaged/vandalised.

I've my reel bolted just inside the back door with a hose roller fitted into the door - best of both worlds.

I tried metal hose reels bolted and loose in van - hated them
Tried the rare green hoselocks on both back doors - loved them until they started blowing up.
1 door mounted is still going.

Now my pole minibore lives on an old pressure washer reel connected to my PW frame.
It looks cool, but it's still just an annoying hose.

Here are the reels nice and fresh with my old PW.

New PW SITS ON THE SAME PLACE with the reel that you see the PW hose on now bolted to the frame of new PW with mininore on it.

not the same fella but part of the same company, i know the lad very well and he says it works brilliantly.

mine are 100mtr coils so wouldnt fancy them hanging on the door as id guess that would knacker the van door hinges.

also like to lock my van when cleaning so having back doors open would be a no for me.

but totally agree with a pain in the arse humping the reel in and out of van. rhink that contributes mostly to my aching back, especially on a busy day full of small cleans.

The reel on the left is about 85m-ish of hose.

Left Door hinge is still fine after a lot of abuse.
Right door hinge is fine BUT the metal door strut that I connected the lower right hand side snapped !

Will take photos' tomorrow. I never thought the metal frame would break !

Doors will close amd lock on hose no problem without disrupting the flow .
