I have used the vikan cill brush with stiff bristles. It didnt appear to scratch and no customer complaints either.

i have a vikan stiff sill brush and i used it once on a polycarbon roof and it did indeed scratch it a bit.custy was ok with it though as it was only a little bit near the corner of the roof.

i now use a medium bristle radius sill brush on a carbon gooseneck from gardiners.much lighter, doesnt scratch the roof and is perfect for the job IMO.

if the roof is really dirty i find a good spray with virosol, leave for a couple of mins before wfpoling helps loosen the baked on dirt/algae.

Yep only on your patch when you cock it up though!

Still no op yet. They offered me the 15th of feb but declined as was skiing ;D
Waiting for another date, hopefully the start of April. They are wanting to do a double knee arthroscopy at the same time.
even after skiing I dont think I feel that bad but the scans say otherwise. I must be so hardcore I dont even know it.

I've used that Vikan stiff brush. It's useless for anything much other than brushing dirt of brick work.

I use the one with the softer bristles for almost every and any job and whilst it's a bit on the heavy side, it does the job.

And before any shout about Gardiners brushes, which are also excellent, I've used them as well in the recent past and still prefer the dead weight of the Vikan brush.

It does make your arms ache though and yes, it does scratch plastic roofing on conservatories so beware.

Just chant..... Hare Krsna, Hare Krsna, Krsna Krsna, Hare Hare, Hare Rama, Hare Rama, Rama Rama, Hare Hare. It's beats chanting Tory Tory or Labour Labour.
