on xmas eve?, you could  double that and i still  wouldn't clean it. its xmas mate, chill out and unwind. 2 or 3 days work don't make a business, spend it with your family and cherish there company. worth more than any amount of money to clean a rug.

Here, Here  ;)

Well yes ??? but.... I'll be checking the stats and see who's logged on to this forum on xmas eve and on xmas day - I myself would rather be earning some decent £'s or spending some quality time with my family  ;D ;D

Is that with the vat Max? - very good price if you can get it, like I said I would be happy with £50 plus the vat for an easy hours work - whats your sales pitch to win the job because you have only stated a difference of £24 for cleaning it off site - I double the price for off site myself  ;)

Off site £3 per sq ft, no min inc VAT. One room / min job to come out £120 inc VAT.

Thinking about it, now we're getting a bigger proportion of contacts from website / google, we probably only book half of min job value quotes. From parish mags & referrals losing 20 to 30% is probably not far out

Pitch? Thorough, Truck Mount, 19 years experience, 2 man teams, move all the furniture, reputation.

And I have done 2 spot-treatment 10 minute jobs just last week for £75 each (inc VAT), but those are very rare.

Well done max you'll  be on dragons den if you carry on like this - a little bird told me that you do actually clean carpets as a minimum charge for much less than this  ;)

Just as with carpets you get a spectrum of people some you only have to hoover and they say 'It's like new' and others no matter what you do it will be wrong. So with that idea in mind I would forget about that one and concentrate on finding people who are very grateful for what you do and appreciate your skills. They will come back year after year and recommend.

I had a call today asking me if I could clean a lounge carpet at approx 5pm I thought it was a wind up I just said no not today as I didn't know who I was talking to and didn't want to appear rude.

Ironically I was working today but only until 2pm but I wasn't going out at 5pm to clean another carpet, do you think I'm losing it?

I had two EOT calls on Friday and they were panicking. I think they thought they could ring round on the day and get a few quotes and go with the cheapest.  :'(
