I have tidyed up my wiring in the van using connectors. Warning! Video

Can anyone suggest a 'made for' product that will do the same thing?

get a fuse bus bar, maplin sell them.

you buy either single fuse one in one out types, or a bus multiple fused outs from one in.

I like the tube heater under the hot water heater,

they are good, they dont give off a lot of heat, but its a steady heat, and very very cheap to run! i did a test with them and the 1ft one only used 1.1 kw in 24 hours on being turned on all the time!

Thanks for the reminder. I've just fitted them between the supply and the varistreams.

10amp fuses came with them I think. Does that sound right?

I like the tube heater under the hot water heater,

Its 180w and cost £23 locally. I only put it on when it's due to be sub zero and it will raise the temp by about 10 degrees.

i was thinking about doing this, but not had the time to have a look. not keen on changing the batterys and having to carry spares.

think as long as its a small amp fuse i think it should be ok, they are just like the ones in the gas boilers and hobs at home, and they are wired in to the mains

How often have you changed them? I'm only on my second pair in 3 years.
I wonder if, as I circulate and therefore it is only firing up a dozen times a day, mine dont get the use that others who use it 'on demand' do.

I'm on my 2nd pair already, only had it about 2 months now, they was a cheaper brand of battery tho.

If I could wire it into the leisure battery at least it would save some money and the thought of having to make sure they work all the time.
