If it doesn't spin you wont get any water. If i have to replace it every 4-8 weeks I couldn't care less. Im sick to death of leaks!

Its rated at 12 Bar @ 20 deg and then decreases to 4 Bar @ 82 deg 3 Bar @ 98 deg

4 Bar is about 60psi. That's why I used the copped pipe coming straight out of the boiler. I once blew a hole in the Barrier Pipe.

I couldn't use jubilee fastenings any more, because I use one heater for two reels, when there are two of us working and one stops his flow, the heat in the other reel increases significantly so much so that it blew regularly.

We've been using this for 4 weeks now and not has a single blow. The only problem which I'm sorting out as well speak, is how the hose joins the reel. This is my only weak point especially if I have reeled out 80m of hose.

I use 1 heater for 2 reels. I use the hoselock 4 port thing like Roy harding, the rad hose with brass hoselocks hens on with jubilee clips to the reels I haven't had any problem with this setup, no hoses popping off. My only  problem which isn't heat related, is the elbows coming from the reels, if they are pulled slightly at the wrong direction they leak.

I like the look of you connector on your reel, can you update us as to the longivity of it?  ;D

I will I give my stuff some pretty hard use, So if I cant make something fail, IT WONT

i'll have to take a video of how i plumbed mine it. for just £5 something + vat and p&p for the correct fitting mine will never leak or need replacing.

I think telling us what fitting you used might be a lot quicker.  :D

if you read back on this page you will see the link to it that i put up!
but here it is again:-
I used one of these on my hose http://www.gardinerpolesystems.co.uk/acatalog/hozelock-type-brass-hose-reel-fitting-swivel-elbow.html

Be there done that, leaks under hot pressure,

guess you fitted it wrong then, mines been on hot pressure and the temp running at max of 54c and had no leaks from it what so ever! its now been on for 3 months!

and as a added bonus, you can see how my boiler is set on a frosty day  ;D

Very sloppy set up I must say! You've got your controls on upside down!

no the controls are on the right way, its the larger side that has a grove in them to point to where they are set!

You have no leaks what so ever from boiler to hose reel using Hozelock? No drips?

54 deg isn't hot enough for me. It needs to be at least 70deg coming out of boiler for two reels, to have a decent temp at the brush

no i have no hozelock execpt for that fitting, i have pictures that i have just uploaded to my pc that im putting up on here.
the 54 deg is waht the box says that comes out i havent tested it myself. you dont need it to be that hot atall, in this weather any hot water can crack the glass,

That connector is much better.

54deg is way to cold, by the time it gets to brush will a good run of hose its almost 30deg.  I like 50 deg a brush

like i say the 54 is what they say it is, i still have to test it to find out what the temps really are.

they say that, for example if the temp on the glass is -1c then the hotest you can use on it without it cracking is 20c highter in temp.

plus hotter water damages the rubber seals on windows, and the hotter the water, the quicker it freezes too!

Alex, I used to know a guy called Ernie Wingrove who used to produce pluming like that. :)

Well if Its my dad then I guess you still know him. He is still alive. And I don't know if that was a complement or not :)

Its all my plumbing, but maybe subconsciously he had a part to play
