Winterisation kits for truck mounts
« on: February 05, 2006, 10:06:27 am »
Do any truck mount owners have them and if so what are their exact function. In this cold spell we have had lately, i have been concerned about he water in the cat pump freezing and cracking the cast casing. This would be expensive to replace. What i have been doing is carrying a small oil heater in the van close to the equipment and leaving it on over night. Hopefully this is suficient to take away the chill and stop it happening.

Does anybody else use other methods or not bother at all?

i always check the weather and if it is going to freeze i place an electric oil rad in the back of the van, works well and the van is nice to get into in the morning   ;)
