low tds reading
« on: November 01, 2012, 10:12:45 pm »
I just checked my tds today in my tank before it goes through the last polish and its reading 001 as opposed to 007 which it normally is, its  about 170 at the tap, what would cause this to drop and does this cause a problem for the membrane

Im 190 at tap and 004 going into tank.
Used to get 001 when my R.O. was new its now 4 years old.
I dont think its anything to worry about.
Is your tap water reading lower.

Your water pressure may have increased or the temperature risen, making the ro work more efficiently.

It certainly won't have any adverse affect on your membranes.

Thanks Gents

I think the Pressure has increased as we were attached to a new water main, ive noticed the tank filling a lot quicker, even though ive kept my fill/waste ratio the same . thanks again
