it its totally pointless people liking each others pages from here sorry it will do nothing for you at all, unless of course your a supplier, then it is totally worth it.

Agree and disagree.

I agree because you're not going to get any proper work, or the sort of work you're after from a bunch of window cleaners liking your page.

Disagree because people will not want to LIKE a page that has only 3 likes. If you can get friends and family to like it, it can easily put you at 20 or 30 likes. Think it gives you a nice base to start properly marketing yourself to your specific audience.

I see your point Tom,
But untargeted likes are a total waste of time sorry they just are, I can get thosands for anyone tomorrow but they would be worthless to the point of what they are trying to achieve.

if the page is marketed properly then getting likes is not an issue at all.
Rather than getting untargeted likes I would be concentrating on lazer targeting everyone.

As I already said totally different for suppliers of related services from this forum as they are free targeted likes which is a result for every one they like
I learn this the hard way quite a while ago.

thanks for your likes chaps.  i have duly reciprocated.  i appreciate your point window washers but theres not point in complaining about something like this.  it takes 10 mins to set up the page, and it takes someone 5 seconds to click the like button (quicker than writing a response on here).  It would only be a waste of time if it took all day to do it.  nothing wrong with trying it

tottaly understand what you mean mate, but you totally missing the point I was trying to make.

I was not complaining at all, I just know a little about facebook and was trying to help you.

One other little thing then I will say no more, your not meant to have a call to action on a timeline cover, this is in breach of facebook terms of service and they can close down your page for it.

Thats it im out of here

I wouldn't say that getting likes from fellow cleaners is useless - obviously likes from customers is the goal,.. but aren't your customers more likely to click "like" on a page that already has a few hundred fans than on that has 16,...

I run a FB page for my wife which currently has 3192 likes - 2500 of these were bought & paid for & I know are completely useless,.. but back when her page had less than 100 fans she was really struggling to attract new fans,.. now that it appears successful she's getting new likes & new business all the time!

the reason it is becoming successuful Nat is because it is becoming viral from the right places, very much like a pyramid. thats just the way it works.
Also just because someone likes a page now does not make a page better it used to but facebook has changed it, it is to do with weight
