how do u get the work. do you need to be registered with the police or the council or something . do they use a load of company's or just a few. cheers

The course is £250 + Vat for a 2 day course, i looked at another one but it was £750 + Vat, i can't warrant that! I would approach police, council, housing associations etc etc, long story how i came to do this sort of thing and i hate typing at the best of times,

Like i said £250 + Vat i think is reasonable, if you are interested please email me your details,i need to find 10 roughly and i have 5 now, the course will be at the end of november at somepoint

What sort of certification do you get with the course Billy? Do you leave it ready to start working at it?

This kind of work, for most of us is very infrequent and it is best to be trained.

You will get no work from the police as they are not allowed to promote a profit making company.

i did my course about four years ago and have do around 10 jobs, the people making the real money are the trainers. The £750 one that billy has mentioned trains around 30 people every 2 months, so they've trained over 500 people in the last few years and there just isn't the work in the UK to warrant that amount of people.

I did a job last week and I'd dropped my card there 3 years ago and people will undercut you and do it for £10 p/h

Was chatting to a guy yesterday who has the police contract for this type of work for the last 10 years.  Other than that he gets next to nothing in this line of work.

It seems soft surfaces are dumped and hard surfaces cleaned and sanitised with all waste being disposed of legally.  Dont forget PPE and a strong stomach and there dosent seem much to it.

The only police contract work will be for cell cleaning, not private residences, these go out for tender.

You  definately do not need a course for this kind of work , just common sense and the right waste disposal paperwork.

O and a really strong stomach.

Spend your money on marketing the service.

The course may be £250 , but who is it accredited by? the providers themselves!!

then you have travel, hotels , and lost work days so your £250 is now well over a grand , with no guarantee of any work to give you a return .
