HRI , according to my source , are about to launch a new TM beater , the concept sounds great , It will be well overpriced of course, just needs someone to build a copycat one at a reasonable cost.


It is a powerhead with the vacuum and a small holding tank attached so the vacuum is right at the extraction point.

They SAY proven vac strength is same as truck mounts. the waste water is pushed by a pump in the holding tank to a waste tank in van via a garden hose , solution is heated via the van engine.

Spot on Jason, OR a local portable can be used to heat the solution/ act as waste recovery.  Very impressive, a bit big for some rooms/properties and YES, it's overpriced   Ho Hum

Clean master before hydramaster used to have something like that years ago (think I'm showing my age now or is it experience )

The rx design is a brilliant concept for cleaning and marketing but I don't think it's for the majority of domestic I do think that the rotovac 360 is more suited.

Looks good for commercial but how often do we use HWE on commercials now?? Would not fancy using in a domestic! Never mind carrying it up a flight or two of stairs!!

It breaks down into two bits to take it upstairs Nick.  It's not for every job but is certainly impressive in action.  Combined with the carbonation it make light work of a dirty carpet when I saw it.  It's just another tool in the bag.  We did a very greasy restaurant yesterday where this would have been perfect.

Never had a real problem with the CD Powerhead or RX20 on skirting boards myself!

Me neither. Big problems lay I wait if using an rx20 style head on domestic carpet, especially plain pastel shades from the footprint the RX leaves behind.

We use them on all domestic jobs too and no problem with skirtings or with 'footprint?' but the slot opening is different on the CD version of the RX-20 and we always follow up with a pad after too, perhaps that's what's different?  What i do like is the clear tube that the client see's the crap coming out, we always make a point of showing them that.
