in Ipswich the customers often get awkward if you turn up in the rain. are awkward  beggars anyway

But in Colchester (20 miles away ) they Never moan and likely will  joke about it . the only way is Essex !

I used to carry a wad of 'Rain Guarantee' leaflets in the van.  Before you start put one through the door - it may make them think before telling you to ---- off :D

On the other hand I hated getting soaked, so usually just went home ;D

If you're three weeks behind now and you go all out to catch up, you must surely have to take time off in the future or you'll be back on those jobs too early?  A couple of days doesn't matter - next time you'll just be a couple of days early from the time you actually did the job but if you do a job that's three weeks late surely you can't go back and do it on original schedule next time - if it's a monthly that would mean re-visiting after one week.

hi ian, bit cheeky i no but do you have a copie of that leaflet that i could have please?
                                     cheers

Sure, it's just a simple 'please let me work or otherwise I'll starve to death' run of the mill sort of thing.

send me an email and I'll include it in a reply

Got asked by a customer to go and see her friend as she thinks she needs a windie so gets to her friends house who then tells me she spoke to a chap last week who is going to do her windows .. gutted as biggish house and prob about £18 / £20 but hey ho these things happen then she tells me he hasnt done them yet because of the rain .... so then find myself explaing the benefits of wfp and how the rain dont effect it etc and how they stay cleaner longer blah blah blah etc etc etc

then thought hang on not even my job  ::) ::) made my excuses to leave she then asked what my price would be  :-X :-X .... so done right thing and just said if he lets you down give me a call  :D

I think with all the rain weve had this year even any die hard "dont bother cos its raining" type of customers have realised that its in the rain or never.

I wonder if this is the wettest year on record ?

it might be the wettest summer for 100 years but ive earned nearly £3000 more than this time last year so im not moaning!! :D :D :D :D

i usually crack on if it rains while im working unless its really bad.i very rarely get any customers moaning.sometimes i get a "not today" but i then i just clean theirs next time im round(usually in 4 weeks time!!) ;D ;D ;D

once you ve been cleaning your customers windows in the rain for a few years they dont even comment!! ;) :) :)
