Problem with Brodex machine
« on: August 27, 2012, 02:38:21 pm »

Hi everyone I've just purchased a second hand van with a 500 litre brodex Ro and DI system a week ago, the owner showed me the system working and i had ago of it on the windows very impressed,  anyway today i've tried to use it for the first time, i've switched on the pump there are two pumps for two users, but ive switched on pump,
the instructions say on the panel if the green light is on the water is being pumped, the green light is on i can hear the pump working, there's a tap lever on the outlet feed hose leading to the water fed pole which i'm sure i've got open, i've messed about with it abit but i can not for the life of me get water to come through to the pole, i dont know what i am doing wrong, if anyone can advise me on this problem I would be extremely grateful as i'm getting desperate.

Regards lal

Take the pipe of the pump, and if there is water coming out put it back on
Then work your way out to the hose reel and pole,

It will be some thing really simple and you'll kick your self. :D

But its all a learning curve mate 8)
keep it simple

sounds like a air-lock.

Try sucking on the pipe ( no pun ) until you get a flow of water

thanks for all of your advice, i disconected hoses reconnected hoses, sucked on hoses {pardon the pun] thinking it could be an airlock which rah had suggested and it sorted it self out and i got flow to the pole at last, thanks again
everyone for your help.
