I've just spent the last hour or so, sanding back the epoxy resin i put on the end of 3 x sections of my slx30 which had thinned out more than the rest of the sections.

I only decided to thicken the sections, as the very top clamp which holds the brush in place had come loose.

What a pain in the arse that was, if anybody has the patience to do this for wfp users, I would gladly pay someone else to do it for me next time.

I use a little mouse sander mate make it really quick and easy

If I do it again, I will definitely be using some sort of power tool to finish off. Took me ages.

What was you doing with the epoxy resin in the 1st place,repair loose clamp ?

Yes Cliff, re-glued the top section that hold the quick release brush attachment in place.

Decided to thicken the tops of the first 3 pole sections too.

Not a DIY enthusiast at all.

Somebody should set up a pole repairs company and take the stress away from me next time.  :

Someone posted on here about setting up refurbing poles but (rather predictably) got shot down in flames.

I used to go fishing and the local tackle shop used to repair my cracked carbon / fibre glass rods and poles, he used to do a great job too.... dont know if thats any good to you?

Good shout Kenny. They would definitely do a better job than I have.

Funnily enough the bloke at wickes suggested going to the local fishing shop, because he didn't think they stocked anything suitable to patch the pole up.
