Hi all
I could do with a bit of advice ! I have the airflex turbo and have so far 75ft of vac hose (2") the problem is trying to get it back into bags after a job  .I was thinking of a hose reel then i lookes at the price 

Any suggestions please !!

Is it one continuous length? If so how's about getting a smaller section and then just get the bigger one out when you need to (if you er pardon the expression!)

its in 2 sections ,but the small section is only just enough to a lounge ,so need both sections out most of the time

You will be pushed for space in you van (if it’s the same one on you site) why the need of a bag, my last 2x50footers are in bags, don’t use them much. Do use 15ft of whip hose (1.1/2in) everyday

Coil up sections and hang them with bungee cords.

space is quite limited thats why there in bags ,but its just a mare to get them in ! I must look a right burk fighting me bloody hose on some ones lawn

It’s smaller and more flexible and fits in a bag easier excluding the cfr hose. Not that I use bags. What a great invention the bungee is

If you are using the crush proof hose it can be a bugger! It's not easy to explain but.... Get the two open ends of the hose together and pull straight so it's shaped like a 'U' The hose will naturally curl in one direction, take one one open end and coil it over the centre like a snake, now take the other end and go in the opposite direction. Provided you follow the natural curl it's easy. Hold together with bungee cord.

If you have your hose in 50' and a 25' length, cut the 50' into 35'/15' split. You can do most lounges with 35'. It also gives you a couple more options. (40' 60' 75' 50' 75') Just get connectors & cuffs to suit.

You don't need a hose reel for 75 ft

Lay it out straight as possible, stick your foot on one end and lay it into a coil on the floor, twisting the hose as you coil it.  Pull it into a nice neat size and use your hose connectors to stick the two ends together so they can't come apart, which keeps the coil of hose intact.  (Velcro straps are quite good too)

If you've got the stiff truckmount type hose it really isn't needed for a portable.  Not sure who else does it but Solution sell a flexible 2" hose that is very much more manageable, you'll get on with it much better

Wooden cable drum from electrical wholesaler suspended from the van roof with steel cable. Mine holds 110 ft of 2 inch and 10ft whip cost about a £10 for the steel cable and fasteners.
Saves loads of prattlng about at the end of a job. Bugger coiling it up and bungee cords.

I gave up putting them in bags after a couple of months when i started, i now have 1x 50ft 2 inch and 1x25 2 inch i roll them up and attach a couple of velcro straps around each one this keeps them tidy and i hang them in the van with bungee straps, no problems

Just one thing about bungee cords.  You have to make sure the ends of the metal hooks don't get between the plastic ribs of your vac hose and puncture the inner sleeve.  A lot of bungee hooks have a little rubber thing over the end (oo-errr) which is OK but without them, if you pull it up too tight it will poke a hole in the hose inner.
