Word press websites
« on: June 27, 2012, 04:43:41 pm »
Hi chaps, getting a bit bored of my google sites website and fancied setting a word press one up.  could i have a look at anyones website that has done this?  Im finding it a complete minefield at the moment, trying to make it look more like a website than a blog

just dont use the blog part of the template if you want it to look like a site, if you have been looking at themes on wordpress they show the features most of the time not what they can look like.
I have quite a few wordpress sites, but can't put them on here for a couple of reason.

very easy to set up, just the seo is the part that needs working on when set up or will be like peeing in the wind

Hi,

If ever you see a wordpress site that you like the look of just right click your mouse on the hompage and click "view source" and look for the following code:

<link rel="stylesheet" href="http://www.seerssupportservices.co.uk/wp-content/themes/vulcan/style.css" type="text/css" media="screen" />

<link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" media="all" href="http://www.iconicwindowcleaning.com/wp-content/themes/bigcity/style.css" />

Both of the above examples happen to be using premium wordpress themes from Themeforest.

Cheers,

Huw

My question is can you create edit and preview a wordpress site with out publishing it to the web as the webspace i want to use for it is being diverted to my .com site  ???

Thanks Paul
