TACCA Customer
« on: June 25, 2012, 07:09:12 pm »
I know this isn't really groundbreaking anymore, but I just got my first customer off TACCA.

I asked her originally where she found my number, and she said Google -I just spoke to her again and she said I came up under one of the 'approved sites' - I asked if it was TACCA and she said yes.

Nice one Mr West  :)

Damn, busted!

In all honesty, TACCA listing comes top of organic listings for my area so I'm surprised it's taken until now.

Yes Pete, your mates was a mad rush - I called him at 2.30 to see where he was (think he'd forgotton or didn't realise the time). When he got there, he said removal men were on their way with furniture for dining room so had to go like the clappers to out the way for them.
House had been home to a dog which wasn't trained - needed a load of neutraliser, and left some damage to carpet which I couldn't do much with in the time I had (or maybe regardless of time).

The old girl from first thing was happy, she's sprayed more vanish on her carpets than I've ever seen, left a lovely white residue over both bedroom carpets but everything cleaned up nicely and she's rebooked to have dining room and some upholstery done.

Richard said its not quite all going to plan so far?

Rich is a bit knackered blame the footy last night as much as the work. Spent a couple of days last week just trying to find the best way forward,. so we were not that productive. We just now need to get productive consistently over a period of time to knock a bit of a hole in it.
Hopefully at the end of the week we will have scratched the surface and have a bit more highlighter over our plans of the areas.
Good luck
Peter

I had a strange enquiry a couple of weeks back. It was via our website contact form. Here it is: -

Hi, I need to have a bedroom carpet cleaned and wondered if you use truck mounted extraction while steam cleaning carpets.

Thank you,

I replied:

Hi ****, Can I ask where you found our details and why you wish to know which method we employ to clean carpets.

Reply back to us:
Hi, I got it from the TACCA website.  I read that the truck mounted extraction method was the best to prevent rapid resoiling.

I replied again to which I received a polite thamk you and that was that.

Strangest enquiry ever, I sort of suspect it wasn't a genuine enquiry, more of a tester.

If the email had said he wanted someone who owned a rotary then I would have been suspicious.  ;D
It's not expensive, you just can't afford it.

Carpetdog ???

The point of my post was that I have never had anyone ask me whether I run a TM or not in an initial enquiry, who would know to ask?

If it was from someone that had used a CC'er with a TM previously and they were that happy then the enquiry wouldnt have been made as they'd have stuck with them. The enquiry obviously shows a level of knowledge beyond the usual.

My reply was based on the assumption that the enquiry was from another CC. I am still 99% certain that this was the case.

I was curious if anyone else had similar and thought a few on here might say so.

I've had emails similar to that before and it's normally someone new to the area and previously had their carpets cleaned by someone with a tm.

Not that unusual really, once someone's been educated they are bound to ask for it next time .

I had one last week.  The guy had gone on a cleaning forum, couldnt remember which one, and someone recommended TM cleaning as the best.  He then searched the net for a TM in his area which he couldnt find but found me as I was the next closest.  Did the job while he watched every move :-\ and was delighted with the results.

First in 13 years though where someone has asked for a TM clean.

Over the years I've had quite a few ask for a tm clean they are usually new to my area and have had cleaning done by a tm before I also get asked to recommend a tm cleaner for other areas where their friends or family live, I don't get asked weekly or anything like that but significantly enough to post this answer.

What sometimes happens is a person phone a truckmount operator for a quote who then proceeds to tell customer that a Cleaner with a portable could not possibly produce such a good a job

Fact is often Truckmounts in use are breakers yards rescues ;D ;D ;D
