« on: June 10, 2012, 11:06:39 am »
Managed for 2 years without one so dont know any difference.

Anyone like me who then got one and does ot make job easier ?

Next obvious question is which one to get ?

Just wondering about extra weight on my day to day pole a 22SLX.

No, unless you have a specific requirement i.e. deep sills etc or do any work 40ft+.

Domestic wise & as you describe (22ft pole) you are far better off with a plastic resi-neck & even better off with a swivel one coupled with an Xtreme brush.

Imagine your domestic work & not being able to change the angle of the brush!  :-\

I use a long one for really deep cills, which is a couple of jobs a month. I have quite a few jobs that have semi deep cills, so i bought the gardiners plastic extension about 4/5 months ago and have never taken it off.

You mean a swivel? Ahh, they are only for the Jedi with faith! ;)

Anyhow, my oppinion remains the same, in your shoes a plastic angle adaptor is the best option ( I do have 3 carbon necks too)

There use is limited unless you have a specific window or resess that is awkward. But for the amount of times you have that I do not bother. I fact I have only one house that needs one with 3 windows but they are frosted do can get away with a bit of artistic licence!

i use a  carbon gooseneck with medium sill brush for most of my work.i think their great!.easier to clean sills on awkward windows above connys and easy to get down to the bottom of windows with deep ledges.because of the amount of bristles on the sill brush the angle is fine even at full stretch over deep extensions/connys etc.

they are ultra light so i wouldnt worry about weight ian if you get one.

also velux windows are easier to clean with a gooseneck and so are conny roofs!!

im well happy with mine. ;) ;D ;D
