4 days off and no motorvation
« on: June 06, 2012, 10:08:01 am »
Had a nice break over the bank holiday apart from renewing my hose and pole fittings done no work at all  :D

Dont really feel in the mood today but need to get dosh in as month end bills will soon be here  :o :o

Anyone else have the occassional CBA day ? (can be ar##ed day) ??

How do you keep your motorvation up.

Will do half a day today and start a bit earlier and work a little quicker over next few days to catch up.

Guess its one of the perks of being a window cleaner ... flexability ................ just gotta make sure not to many CBA days though  ;) ;)

Planned to go back today after 4 days in capital but have done so much walking I'm having today off to recover - absolutely knackered - crackin weekend though!
I wouldn't worry Ian, it'll all get done in the end. One day isn't gonna make too much difference is it?

Same here - except we didn't get 4 days off:(
Other half worked Saturday. Cleaned windows for a lady on Monday am because she had friends over for Jubilee - new customer and first clean and wanted to help out as other cleaner hadn't bothered to turn up, now a new regular.
Jet wash yesterday. Discovered drains blocked - that was fun.
Did as best we could today and then gave up because it was pouring. Rest of week looks rubbish so could be an excuse for some time off.

Motivation.

One of those odd words that only gets mentioned when it's missing.  It's very rare to hear someone say "I'm really motivated" outside a job interview. Yet you'll often hear people say "I'm not motivated".

As far as I can see, the difference between the two is that one group is just getting on and doing whatever it is they need to do.  I think that points to the solution, which is just to go and work.

Dull advice but it does it for me.  On days when the last thing you want to do is to start, just start.  Then you're motivated.

Churchill had a phrase for it: KBO

I think we all suffer from it from time to time. Funny thing is though, when your busy and the weather is OK, I never get the CBA feeling, but when I know the weather is going to be really wet, I sometimes don't even start when it's fine in the morning/ Just do other stuff, decorate, website etc.
Forced myself out today..

Yep I get it from time to time but to be honest its only the odd day here and there.

I've been w cleaning for 18 years now.don't take too much work on is my advice as you ll get fed up if your working every day.

I've had a cracking day on the glass and ready for the months onslaught now.I've slacked off working the last few weeks working at half steam but back in the zone today! 8)
price higher/work harder!

I was just thinking the same myself when i spotted this,i have been feeling lethargic just of late, really cba lol
i came home at 1 to do those jobs that you want to do but never get round to,things on the van, stationary etc.
Also just had a big sort out of my work rota on george,it has taken almost an hour,i feel alot better though now thats done.Had new customers still not added from April, plus from a little round i bought last month :-[
Just been a big unorganised and thats when i lose the plot, work clothes still in washing machine from last night as i fell asleep before drying them lol-resulting in an hour lost this morning!,door catch on my van door sticking, another 10mins lost spraying it with wd40,it all adds up in both time and knockbacks.
Never mind,onwards and upwards :D
