I got a very cheap one on ebay that went piff paff puff in no time at all, never again. I have the powerful ashby ones and they go on and on and on.
It's not expensive, you just can't afford it.

what make is it ? how old is it. Not a lot repairable ( economically) but most of them are very reliable so get a meter and check the lead out, but do not waste ant time on it. I have bought spares ( min order 5 or so at time to make it viable) but anything less is just not worth the hassle. Do nt sell it on e bay, bin it move on stay credible ( or are you really that desperate ?)

It might just need a capacitor. They can be less than a tenner from maplin.
