1000 litre tank
« on: May 22, 2012, 02:09:52 pm »
If I put a 1000 litre tank in my greenhouse ( which I would be filling from  an RO system ) would the heat in the greenhouse have any efect upon the water as the water would then be put through a DI system for window cleaning, cheers Ted

no, dosnt really make any diffence to you, however on the plus side, keeping a large body of water in a greenhouse is a great thing for the greenhouse, is absorbs all the heat and helps to keep the grennhouse temp up at night (a giant radiator) also, it will keep the humidity up beautifully, my advice to you, don't worry about the ro etc it will be fine tds all normal etc, but get some tomatoes and peppers in that greenhouse with your ibc :-)

you would need to keep an eye out for the temp.in the summer in case you get any bacteria growing in the water ect ;) why put it in the greenhouse, you could put it outside and it would be ok

I think that in Summer, an IBC in a greenhouse would be like a paradise for algae and bacteria.

I think in Winter it would be good though I would paint it a dark colour to keep the light out (mine's spray painted green).

Also, will the IBC fit into the greenhouse through the doors?
