Sounds as if the blade was dry.

Plenty of water on the glass, make sure the blade is in good condition, wet and with no nicks or wear at the point of contact.

Another thing is make sure the channel is true, and not bent in any way.

If your squeegee is squeaking then it's not turning smoothly enough.
A good tip, is to wipe the window first with a wet microfibre. This breaks down some of the dirt and also cools the glass.
Also keep your applicator wet. I'll use an old Fairy bottle filled with solution to refresh the applicator.
If it's really hot or a window is really dirty, I'll squeeze the solution over the window.

i know its sounds silly but just a thought, are you changing your water in your bucket after each clean?  This might explain why it looks like its been cleaned with a dirty cloth! and yeah fairy bottle filled on your belt is good  :)

No, you do not need to add vinegar.

As the others have said, clean water, nice amount of fairy, straight channel, good rubber and you shouldnt go far wrong.

Just make sure its not the customers inside windows that are dirty. Ive been called back to jobs in the past where they have said 'it looks like you have just rubbed a dirty cloth in circles', only to find that the outsides that I cleaned were perfect, and insides were minging.

are you sure the seals not gone on the window making it look smeary and foggy?

are you sure its not on the inside?

i very rarely gets complaints but its usually the above if i do.

if i were you id stop using fairy and use ECOVER as its much less sticky and leaves no residue.

i use unger pre cut 14in rubbers(soft) and never have a problem.

have you been round the the customers house to check it out and rectify if its your mistake?

also what detailing cloths to you use?i use the flatweave microfibres(unger microwipe)very large size.great cloths and you can wash them hundreds of times.no breaking in like scrim!! ;) ;D ;D ;D
price higher/work harder!
