Banging Em Out

Same customers and no complaints.I think it might be time to try what may appear to an onlooker as "Splash and Dash" or would it be a professional knowing the exact bare minimum required?

You will find that as time goes on, you will 'Splash 'n' Dash' anyway; you will naturally speed up without really thinking about it - or at least that's been our experience.

I don't know what's happening our end, but we've practically ran out of work (highly unusual - we're normally a week-or-so behind), just because we seem to have naturally gotten faster.

Good innit?

Yeh, but I'm running out at the start of week four.  I've only got £250 worth due this week, and there's two of us!  :'(

I've got a shed load of every-other-monthers, but they've all somehow ended up being in one month, so next month I'll be upto the eye-balls.

We've cleaned a pub and a shop; including all the signage and spent a few hours his morning sticking leaflets out.

I've got a load of admin to do, so I'll get on with that today; but it's a shame when the weather is so nice.

I find every-four-weeks too regular; maybe that's just my own thinking though.  But I try to charge good prices for my work and I've found if I've been too regular, it annoys the customers.

For the past few years now I've tried to target larger properties, quote high prices with lesser cleaning frequencies, and both the customer and myself seem happy with the arrangement.

The majority of my 'monthlies' tend to be five-or-six-weekly, and they're mostly my older work or in estates where they've no choice but to go with when I turn up; but even then I offer 'every-other-month' which I charge slightly more for.  Sometimes if I've enough of them I'll do them on a totally different time-schedule than my 'monthlies'.

Bag of nails?

Yeh!  ;D

Sorry!

Personally, with WFP, you don't need to spend a lot of time to do a good job.  Just plan how best to tackle each job, work with a fast flow, and you'll be quick.  I don't think there's much of a difference between doing the job 'properly' and working to doing the 'bare minimum'.

I think there is a fine line between confidence that the job has been done right and actually not being that bothered and thinking"Well there might be an odd spot or two but i`m not spending all day at it".

Anyway my first job today had encrusted bird poo on 6 windows so that put paid to my splash and dashing plus next 3 were all at home pratting about in their gardens ,next job had me in a blokes shed looking at Grandfather clocks. Then had to do a con roof whicjh i`d hoped to leave until next time but they were in as well and i`d done a  "not this time"  the last visit.Started late 9.36am,finished 13.48,thats leaving home to getting back,£101.50,5 cheques in todays post,£66.50,online banking £53.50.just been cruising about in my Jaguar XKR convertible with the hood down(these cars were invented for window cleaners that finish early) and its still only just gone half three.I`m not complaining.
