Surely if the male end is on the microbore you will get very wet whenever its disconnected from the pole hose ???
correct thats why I dont do it this way you also lose pressure at the brush and it sprays water whewre it should not be.

I did convert foolishly because I read to many things on here only to change back to the way that works best IMO, I only recommend the way I did it before now as still have not heard why this is better I think it is just what we are used to right or wrong.

Obviously everyone has their preference, but like yourself I always recommend the female coupling on the end of the Microbore hose. This provides a shut off whenever you disconnect the pole which is a good enough reason for me.

;D I have a tap to do this and this reason is to allow me or the staff to use water should they need to without connecting the pole again, and female on pole hose is to stop the water coming out of the pole, defo down to preference, just typical I find a good supplier that does the opposite to me lol

we use rectus 26 the brass type now , got some about 4 months ago and havent changed them since, very good and dont seem to get leaks etc last loads longer than the easy snap, the only drawbacks what i can see is that they are big and heavy enough to kill a small to average sizeed elephant

the best way to make them last is not to disconnect them all the time, just turn the tap off they last upto about 6 months that little tip saved me a small fortune
