Finally got my two DI vessels in line.
Trouble is - the new one is a Spectrum and the connections on the cap are not BSP but American NPT taper and the dear darlings at Brodex put about one wrap of PTFE on the (badly fitting) taper thread and I had a mighty leak before I even noticed.
Anyway - I uncoupled the quick release fitting off the top to fix it and WHAT A TSUNAMI!!! 
Water everywhere.
I am going to have to swap these vessels over in time so - 
How and where do I de-pressurise the system to avoid getting P*****d wet through?

Hi Granny,
I made up a fitting to go on the end of the hose that goes

male microbore >> 6mm to 12mm adapter >> female hozelock fitting - with a normal garden hose spray gun.

I use it to fill the sprayer with TFR mix etc

and for depressuring my system if I want to change, or remove, the DI vessel

Whenever I change resin, when I switch off the pumps I simply leave the brushes plugged into the hose reels. This relieves the pressure.

I also have a seperate piece of pipe with valve before the resin vessels, that I use to fill buckets of water. With the pump off, I open this valve, this takes away most of the pressure from the system.
